Jasmine? C’mon now. This girl came out and yelled a song, finally hitting one series of smooth high notes at the end, once she quit yelling. Her selection is such an obvious concession to balance the boy/girl ratio. The judges tried to compensate by adding another guy to the mix because they couldn’t ignore the talent. I think the judges were surprised by the fans’ selections this year.

Hello Dougkueffler, I was very surprised last night when they announced they were having 13 this year and with it being Anoop I was really happy that he got in.

To NOT have an even mix of guys and girls would be quite a difficult decision to make tonight. I can’t imagine three girls going through without at least ANOOP making the final 12. I hate…absolutely HATE to say this, but….Tatiana would add interest and DRAMA to the final 12. I also like Megan and really hope she makes it through.

I think the guy who is blind has a decent chance of making the cut too. If not by the fans, then by the judges. Otherwise, both my wife and I agree totally with your choices. The American Idol producers seems to divide the talent between the three groups of 12 pretty evenly, with 3 or 4 always standing out above the rest.
