American Idol Second Night of Auditions
Well tonight was the second night of auditions and they were held in Kansas City, the home town of David Cook last years winner. Another 27 received their golden tickets to continue on to Hollywood for the next phase.
There was quite a bit of talent tonight, in fact there were a few who really impressed me. Jason Castro the one with the dreads that made it to 4th place last year came to the auditions to support his brother that was trying out. His brother told the judges that he just started singing 20 days ago and that if Jason could make it on then he should give it a try. Well he really surprised me and the judges, he can sing!
Besides him and a few others that I enjoyed, the final contestant on tonight a young black woman who is the mother of 3 who went through a tough time when a tornado hit her hometown of Memphis impressed me the most. Her voice was like a mixture of Fantasia 3rd season winner and Mary J. Blige, she was awesome and I will be routing for her to make it through Hollywood week.
